IndiMaD meeting at Bangalore and the 2007 Flash Lite Game Contest Announcement

This weekend saw the gathering of IndiMaD and the Adobe MaD India team from Bangalore discussing mobile development and opportunities with Flash Lite at the Adobe office.

It was interesting to see a live presentation by Vivek of I2Fly on using templates for creating Flash Lite wallpapers. He gave a hands-on demonstration on creating the content and discussed the importance of mobile personalization as compared to content that is otherwise available to users. He also had some very interesting gyaan to share about the wallpaper market and what drives his content creation.

This was followed by a presentation by myself on opportunities for developers with mobile gaming. I started with a rough overview of the game market and then went on to specifics related to the Flash Lite market. The response to the Playyoo sponsored 2007 Flash Lite Game contest was also great. It was good to know that the members were curious about the Playyoo platform and had many questions to ask.

The presentations were followed with discussions and interactions between members over pizzas and cola. It was an added bonus for members to ask direct queries about the Flash Lite tools and development to the Adobe MaD team which lead to very healthy discussions. We also discussed future plans and activities for the group.

I am sure every person in this meeting would have had something valuable to take back home.

Want to thank all the members who made this meeting a success, Raghu from Adobe India for arranging the meeting, Playyoo for sponsoring the meeting and both Adobe and Playyoo for providing goodies and gadgets to give the attending members.

Looking forward to the next meeting soon.
